Qtv brings the unlimited entertainment of the Internet to your mobile phone and television. Enjoy movies, TV programs, music videos, shopping and your favorite YouTube videos on your big screen TV in the comfort of your living room or on the go with your mobile phone.

You can also enjoy your own music, videos and digital pictures on your big home entertainment system and your mobile phone. Qtv supports all popular open media formats, so you don’t need to worry about transuding your content for one device or another.

The user interface is integrated across all the platforms, so your experience is consistent on each device. Add a favorite while using the mobile application and the television and computer interfaces are automatically updated to show that favorite.

Qtv is the only media player that allows you to save pause points. Start watching an online video, pause, and then store that pause point as a Q. When you want to continue watching, just select the Q point and start watching from the point you left off.

You can watch on the same device or any other of your other Qtv enabled devices. So, start watching on the TV and when you have to leave, just save it and select the Q point on your Qtv enabled phone and continue from where you left off.

There is no limit to the number of Q points you can save and you can save multiple Q points for the same video or different videos.

The actual quality that you see is limited by the quality of the content and the capabilities of the device playing the content. As the saying goes, “garbage in--garbage out, the same is true for content quality. Lower resolution content is not as good as higher resolution content. The problem is that higher resolution content is more expensive and requires you to have a faster broadband connection. As a result, very little of the Internet content available today is in HD.

Qtv currently supports the PlayStation 2 (PS2) console for the TV. For a console that has been around for 10 years and costs less than $100 US, it is an incredible little audio/video platform, game console and DVD player. Qtv can provide near HD video quality and optical sound quality using the PS2.

Instead of being limited to browsing within individual channels like most other media players, Qtv enables you to browse by category, genre, title and keyword, as well as by channel. When you are in the mood for a romantic comedy movie, navigate to the romantic comedies section under movies to browse all the romantic comedies from all the providers.

You can also enter and save search keywords. Qtv saves the keywords contextually, so when your daughter enters a keyword for “dolphins” under animals and you enter the same keyword under football, in some years you will enjoy watching the football videos, but your daughter will always have a great time watching the animals.

Qtv gives you control over the online content you want to enjoy. Using the web based Qtv Content Manager, you can manage all your content and account settings for each platform.

Select which channels you want. Channels are broken down into public or private channels. You can opt out of public channels and you can opt-in into private channels. If you don’t want all the channels on your phone, TV or computer, just select which channels are to be delivered to which device. You can turn off YouTube on your phone, but leave it on the TV and computer.

Enjoy your favorites in one place. Enter your YouTube username and all your favorite videos will be imported into Qtv. Add new favorites and Qtv automatically updates your account and displays them on your TV, mobile phone and computer interface. Favorites from other channels can also be imported to Qtv, so now you can enjoy all your favorites through a single interface on multiple platforms.

Qtv also allows you to share your favorites with your friends. You can select which channel favorites you want to share and what friends you want to share them with. Now you don’t have to email a link to your friends, you can share that great new video with them directly.

The television, mobile phone and other Internet enabled devices generally do not have antivirus protection. Qtv digitally signs all executable applications and all communications are SSL encrypted. This helps prevent anyone from hacking into your Internet connected device and stealing your personal information.

Qtv also respects your privacy. Qtv will play your personal content on your local network, but Qtv does not collect any information regarding your personal content.
