Setup Overview

The Qtv software is very easy to setup and intuitive to use. Browse using the arrow buttons on the remote or gamepad to find and select content.

There are two ways to setup and use Qtv:

Offline

If you haven't connected your PS2 to a home network, you can still use Qtv. Just load the Qtv disc into the PS2 and connect a USB storage device to the PS2. You can browse and play the content on the storage device.

Networked

Install the Qtv PC software on one or more computers. During the installation process, you will be asked to create user accounts and passwords for each member of the family. You can set the parental controls or personalize the interface.

The Qtv PC Application runs in the background on your PC. It manages the user accounts and also runs the browser that is used to access Web TV portals. As a result, the PC must be on to access online content.

Once you have the Qtv Application running on the PC, just load the Qtv disc into the PS2 just like you would a game. It will automatically detect the network and the PC running the Qtv Application. It may take a couple of minutes for the setup and make sure that you have a formatted memory card in the PS2.
